3~5개의 꽃이 산형으로 피는 녀석인데 개체 크기가 작고 화경도 짧아서 전체적으로 소형이다.

한라산과 지리산, 부전고원에 서식하는 별꿩의밥과 닮은 산형화서를 가진 녀석이다 땅속줄기가 발달되어 군집으로 서식을 한다 피침형 화피(3mm)는 열매(3.2mm)와 길이가 거의 같거나 약간 길다.
