박달나무(자작나무과 자작나무속) 암꽃 수꽃

자작나무속 녀석들 암꽃과 수꽃을 동시에 담으려면 시기를 잘 맞추어야 한다

수꽃이 한창 꽃밥을 터뜨릴 때 암꽃이 자그마하게 생기기 시작하는데 자세하게 살피지 않으면 수꽃만 찍기 일쑤이고

암꽃이 눈에 잘 띌 정도로 커질 때 쯤이면 벌써 수꽃은 다 떨어지기 때문이다.

 

이 녀석도 만항재를 오르면서 거제수나무마다 쳐다 보면서 가다가

마침 낮은 가지에 거제수나무 수꽃을 보고 반갑게 차를 세웠는데

그 옆에 박달나무도 함께 식재되어 있어서 수꽃과 암꽃을 함께 담았다.

 

수꽃과 짙은 색 수피만 얼핏 보고 물오리나무겠지 하고 지나치려는데

수꽃화서가 짧고 새순의 잎이 물오리나무 잎이 아니길래 이상하여 다시 들여다 보니 박달나무라.

어린 새순을 찬찬히 뒤져서 자그마한 암꽃도 찾았다.

 

 

 

자화수 꽃차례이다, 암술이 붉은색을 띠고 있었다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

측맥은 9-10쌍이며 표면은 녹색으로서 털이 없고 뒷면은 지점이 있으며 맥위에 털이 있고 연녹색이다.

엽병은 길이 5-10mm로서 털이 있다.

 

 

 

웅화수 꽃차례이다. 꽃밥주머니가 붉은색을 띤다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

수피는 검은색에 가까은 짙은 갈색이다.
