진땅고추풀(현삼과 진땅고추풀속) 열매 Deinostema violacea (Maxim.) T. Yamaz.

산정 습지에 진땅고추풀이 폈다고 파발이 있길래 그래도 젤로 가까운 곳이라

헌데 미리 와 있던 꽃동무들이 분명 꽃이 폈다는데 한 포기도 안 보인단다.

이틀 전에 이 바위 옆에서 담았다던데...하면서.

 

하얗게 피어 있는 개발나물에 꽂혀 있다가 뒤늦게 따라 갔더니만....

뾰족뾰족 피침형 잎 가득한 진땅고추풀이 바닥에 깔려서 잔디밭을 만들고 있다.

헌데 꽃이 피어 있지 않으니 그게 진땅고추풀인 줄 모르고 진땅고추풀이 없다고 하고 있었던 게다.

 

진땅은 꽃이 피지 않고도 폐쇄화를 가득 만들어서 열매를 떨군다.

그러니 환경이 맞지 않으면 그냥 폐쇄화만 만들 수도 있는 것이다.

며칠 전에는 꽃을 피웠던 모양인데 오늘은 한송이도 피지를 않았던 거였다. ㅎ

 

이리 저리 뒤져 보니 작은 열매가 보인다.
