매미꽃(양귀비과 매미꽃속) Coreanomecon hylomeconoides Nakai

털조장나무와 함께 매미꽃도 자생지에서 만나지 못하여 꼭 보고 싶었던 녀석이다.

아쉽게도 아직 꽃봉오리 상태라 훗날 털조장나무 열매를 담으러 올 때 다시 만나야 할 녀석이다.

 

피나물과 흡사하지만 피나물은 줄기 끝에 꽃이 피고 꽃받침에 털이 많은데 비하여

매미꽃은 뿌리에서 꽃대가 올라오고 꽃받침에 털이 없는 점이 특징이다.

피나물은 4월에 꽃이 피고 지지만 매미꽃은 여름까지 꾸준하게 핀다.

매미꽃과 비교되는 피나물의 모습이다.

줄기의 위쪽 잎 겨드랑이에서 꽃이 피고 꽃받침에 털이 보인다

 

 

 화경과 잎자루에 퍼진 털이 있지만 꽃받침에는 털이 없다.
