별꽃(석죽과)

별꽃. 얼마나 이쁜 이름인가?

동글동글 작은 잎과 줄기 끝에 피어나는 작은 꽃이 마치 별처럼 앙징스럽다. 

잎이 더 크고 억센 느낌의 쇠별꽃보다는 요 작은 별꽃에 더 마음이 간다.

 

시선을 받지 못하고 소심하게 피어나는 이 녀석을 보면 상처 받아 한 쪽에 서성거리는 아이처럼 애처로워 보이는 느낌 때문이다.

함께 어울리고 싶어도 선뜻 말 걸어 볼 용기도 없고, 혹시나 내치지나 않을까 눈치를 보는 것처럼

알록달록 색색의 봄꽃들과 어울리고 싶은 마음에 슬그머니 한자리 끼여 있다.
