굴거리나무(굴거리나무과 굴거리나무속) 열매 Daphniphyllum macropodum Miq.

남부의 상록수 중에서 잎이 매우 큰 녀석으로 잎자루가 붉은 것이 특징이다.

수고도 높고 잎이 워낙 커서 수형이 우렁우렁하여 여름에 보면 참 시원한 느낌을 받는 녀석이다.

초겨울 열매가 자흑색으로 익는데 잎이 작은 좀굴거리나무도 있다고 한다.

 

 

열매는 핵과로 긴 타원형이며 지름 1cm로서 10-11월에 암벽색으로 익는다

 

 

잎은 가지 끝에 모여 호생하며 긴 타원형이고 점첨두 예저이며 길이 12-20cm 정도로서 표면은 녹색이고 뒷면은 회백색으로서 털이 없으며 12-17쌍의 측맥이 있고 맥 사이의 거리가 10-15mm이며 어린 엽병은 길이 3-4cm로서 홍색, 연한 홍색 또는 녹색이다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

제주도, 전라도, 경상도의 도서지방에 자생하며 백운산과 내장산에도 자란다. 안면도에 비교적 큰 굴거리 나무가 자라고 있다.
