봄맞이(앵초과 봄맞이속)

봄이면 하얗게 별처럼 피어 봄이 왔음을 알린다. 그래서 봄맞이란 이름을 얻었겠지.

겨울을 나느라 빨갛게 얼어 있는 봄맞이 월동초를 보면 대단한 느낌이 든다. 방석처럼 퍼진 봄맞이 신초도 하나의 예술이다.  

이름이 비슷한 애기봄맞이가 있다. 동그란 부케처럼 피어 논둑을 장식하는 녀석이다.

 

 

 

앵초과(櫻草科 Primulaceae)에 속하는 1~2년생초. 키가 10㎝ 정도 되는 아주 작은 식물로, 

 4~5월에 흰 꽃이 뿌리에서 나온 꽃줄기 끝에 산형꽃차례를 이루어 핀다.

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 뿌리에서만 동그랗게 로제트를 이루며 나오고, 길이와 너비는 5~15㎜이다.

잎에는 잔털들이 있고 잎가장자리에 조그만한 톱니들을 가지고 있다.
