미국까마중(가지과)

"어? 가지과 같은데 꽃이 보라색이네요." 앞서 가던 진사님 한 분이 한쪽을 가리킨다.

보라색 꽃에 파상 또는 거치가 있는 잎. ㅎㅎ......반갑다 미국까마중.

 

해안가라서 그런가? 아직도 미국까마중이 꽃을 피우고 있다.

외래종의 도입은 새 도로가 생기는 절개지의 도포용 종자에 묻어 오는 경우나, 사료용 곡물에 묻어 들어오기도 하고,

해안으로 해류를 타고 들어 오는 경우도 있단다. 미국까마중은 1992년 경에 들어 왔다고 한다. 이 녀석은 어떻게 들어오게 되었을까?

잎	어긋나고 2∼4cm, 나비는 1∼2.5cm로 난형 또는 장 타원형/잎 가장자리는 파상 또는 거치/끝이 날카롭고 아래쪽은 쐐기꼴	어긋나고 길이 6-10cm, 나비 4-6cm 난형/긴 엽병의 윗부분까지 흐르고/ 가장자리가 밋밋하거나 파상의 톱니
꽃	2∼4개 산형꽃차례/보라색이 섞인 흰색/ 뒷면은 보라색이 진함/수술대와 암술대에 털	총상꽃차례 3~8송이/ 흰색 꽃이 핌
열매	지름 5∼8mm, 한 과경에 2~4개 달림, 광택이 있음	6-7mm이며, 한 과경에 3~8개 달림, 광택이 없음
줄기	가는 편으로 털이 없음	원줄기에 능선이 약간 나타남

근디 요 녀석은 꽃차례가 산형꽃차례이면서 열매 꽃의 수가 5개 이상이다. 꽃색도 희다

공자님 후손과 다래님이 미국까마중을 꽃색이나 열매의 수로만 구분하는 것은 위험하다고 한다.
