한동안 서울족도리풀과 만주족도리풀은 통합하여 털족도리풀로 봐야 한다고 하다가

다시 만주족도리풀과 서울족도리풀은 다른 분류군이라 하여 정리가 되어 있다.

 

화피편이 뒤로 젖혀지고 화관에 흰색 고리 무늬가 있으며,

잎자루와 잎 뒷면에 털이 많은 서울족도리풀.

 

소순구의 한국산족도리풀속의 분류학적 연구(2008) 논문에 의하면
만주족도리풀은 외부 형태학적으로 서울족도리풀과 아주 유사하나 엽병에 털이 없는 특징을 가지고 있다.

소순구는 만주족도리풀은 남한에는 분포치 않고 만주지방에 분포한다고 하였다.
