능소화와 미국능소화의 자연교잡종으로 꽃색은 미국능소화 처럼 붉지만 화관 형태는 능소화처럼 크고 꽃받침은 누른색을 띠고 있다.

 

 

꽃색이 능소화 보다 붉고 화관이 더 길며 꽃받침은 등황색,
