미국능소화나 나팔능소화에 비하여 꽃차례가 아래로 길게 늘어지는 원추화서이고
꽃받침이 녹색이며 꽃받침 열편이 깊게 갈라진다.
화관이 짧고 꽃이 크며 화색이 옅은 주황색으로 화관 안쪽이 노랗다.
