"에조코자쿠라" 는 "하쿠산코자쿠라" Primula cuneifolia var,hakusanensis 의 원종으로 대설산에 자생한다. 하쿠산고자쿠라와 거의 같지만, 잎의 톱니가 더 거칠고, 꽃잎 열편의 깊이가 약간 얕다.
원산지는 E. 시베리아에서 일본 북부 및 중부까지, 알류샨 열도에서 알래스카까지이다.
