백두산식물 - 개머위(국화과 머위속) Petasites rubellus (J. F. Gmel.) J. Toman

장백폭포 주변과 소천지를 잠시 들렀다.

원래는 사흘째 날 북백두에 올라야 했지만 강풍으로 안전상 지프가 정상까지 올라갈 수 없어서 산문을 닫아 버려서 일정을 바꾼 것이다. 다른 일행들은 천지를 보러 북파에 올랐지만 이미 여러 차례 천지에 오른 잡풀떼기파들은 풀이 있는 곳을 선택하였다. 아직 5월 중순은 정상에 눈이 남아 있어서 초본류는 돋아나지 않았다는 이유도 있었다.소천지에서 덕분에 개머위 꽃과 고산바디, 설령쥐오줌풀 등 어린 신초를 담을 수가 있었다.

개머위는 우리 나라 북부지방에 나며, 러시아 시베리아, 아무르, 우수리, 몽골, 중국 만주 등에 분포한다. 

여러해살이풀로 뿌리줄기가 옆으로 길게 뻗는다. 곧추선 꽃줄기 끝에서 흰색 또는 연노란색 꽃이 산방상 총상꽃차례에 달리며, 포는 긴 타원형, 길이 1.5~2cm, 두상화는 8개 정도이다. 총포는 길이 7mm로  2줄로 붙는다.

 

관찰로 테크에서 벗어날 수가 없어서  각도 맞추기 힘들었고 당겨서 촬영하느라고 들이대기만 하였다.

 

잎은 뿌리에서 모여나며, 잎몸은 신장상 심장형, 길이 3~3.5cm, 폭 5~9cm, 가장자리에 이빨 모양 톱니가 있다.
