털머위(국화과)

남쪽 섬지역이나 남해안 바닷가에서 볼 수 있는 털머위는

꽃이 없는 늦가을부터 노랗게 피어 황량해지는 풀숲을 따뜻하게 해 준다.

 

제주도에는 도로변 화단이나 축대를 쌓을 때 종경용으로 많이 식재를 해 둔 걸 볼 수 있는데

넓은 광택이 나는 넓고 둥그런 잎과 노란 꽃은 겨울의 제주 풍광을 이국적으로 만들어 준다.

 

 

완도수목원에서 여기 저기 심겨진 털머위는 아직도 꽃이 싱싱하였다. (11. 12. 완도)
