소엽맥문동(백합과 맥문아재비속) Ophiopogon japonicus (Thunb.) Ker Gawl.

산사 주변 숲 바닥을 뒤지면 요렇게 파란 구슬을 찾을 수 있으리라 기대를 했더랬다.
역시 기대했던 대로 맥문동 잎을 덮고 있는 가랑잎을 들추니 열매가 파랗게 빛나고 있다.

아래는 원색한국기준식물도감(이우철 저) 에 따라 맥문동속과 맥문아재비속의 내용을 표로 정리한 것이다.

뿌리	뿌리줄기는 짧고 굵으며, 굵은 수염뿌리가 많다. 기는줄기는 없다	가늘고 긴 기는줄기가 있다.	뿌리줄기는 옆으로 뻗으면서 자란다. 기는줄기 없다	땅속줄기는 짧고 포복지를 낸다. 뿌리 괴근, 방추형	땅속줄기는 포복지를 낸다. 뿌리는 때로 방추형

늘 소엽맥문동과 실맥문동 사이를 오락가락하면서 이 녀석을 들여다 보게 된다.

국가표준식물목록에는 소엽맥문동과 실맥문동이 별도 분류군으로 정리가 되어 있지만
국립생물자원관과 한국속식물지에는 Tanaka의 정리에 따라 맥문아재비속 분류군은
맥문아재비와 소엽맥문동 2종으로 정리하여 실맥문동을 별도 분류군으로 보지 않고 있다.

그래서 미련 없이 소엽맥문동으로 정리한다.
