바늘명아주(명아주과 양명아주속) Dysphania aristata (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants

바늘명아주 잎새 위에 가을이 깊어지고 있다

 

흔하게 보이는 녀석은 아니다. 

샘점과 털이 많은 특징에 의해 명아주속에서 양명아주속 Dysphania 으로 이속이 되었다.

꽃이 핀 후 가지 끝이 가시처럼 뾰족해지는 점에서 바늘명아주란 이름을 얻었다.

줄기는 곧추서며, 10~40cm, 밑에서 가지가 많이 갈라지고, 돌기 같은 털이 있다. 잎은 어긋나며, 넓은 선형 또는 선상 피침형으로 길이 1.5~3.0cm, 폭 2~4mm, 끝은 뭉툭하거나 다소 뾰족하며, 가장자리는 밋밋하고, 밑으로 점점 좁아져 잎자루로 흐른다. 꽃은 7~8월에 피는데 잎겨드랑이에서 나온 가지에 모여 달린다.

 

가지 끝은 꽃이 진 후에 가시처럼 된다.
