땅두릅 : Aralia cordata Thunb.

독활 : Aralia cordata Thunb. var. continentalis (Kitag.) Y.C.Chu 

 

두 녀석의 실체에 대한 의구심이 늘 있었다.

오래 전에는 땅두릅으로 불렀는데 언제부터인가 대부분 독활로 부르고 있었다.

땅두릅의 꽃자루가 더 길다는 차이점이 있다는 점을 오래 전 자료에도 그리 정리를 해 두었는데......

 

꽃차례가 보다 조밀하고 3회 또는 드물게 4회 갈라지며 꽃자루 길이가 5~6mm인 것을 변종 독활로 (var. contidentalis (Kitag.) Y. C. Chu)으로 구분하기도 한다. 땅두릅 꽃자루는 길이는 5-12 mm다.(한반도생물다양성 포털)

 

이 녀석은 꽃자루가 길고 꽃가지가 2(3)회 갈라진다.

위의 기준에 의거하여 이 녀석을 살피면 땅두릅으로 봐야 겠다.

 

 

꽃술이 살아 있는 두상화가 수꽃, 열매가 달린 두상화가 암꽃화서이다
