진퍼리용담(용담과 용담속) Gentiana scabra f. stenophylla (H. Hara) W. K. Paik & W. T. Lee

이름만 듣고 지리산 자락에 있다는 이야기도 들리던 녀석을 처음 만났다.

산지 습지에 자라는 녀석으로

용담에 비하여 꽃이 작고 잎몸은 아주 좁은 선상 피침형으로 길이 3~6cm, 폭 5mm쯤이다.

 

본 종은 Hara(1949)에 의해 용담의 변종(Gentiana scabra Bunge var. stenophylla H. Hara)으로 발표되었으나,

용담과 연속적 변이를 보이는 점에 근거하여 품종으로 재조합되었다(이와 백, 1995).-출처: 국립생물자원관 포털

 

줄기 끝과 잎겨드랑이마다 꽃을 달고 있었는데

꽃의 크기가 용담이나 과남풀에 비하여 작았다

잎이 매우 좁은 선상 피침형으로 털이나 돌기가 없었으며

줄기는 자색을 띠고 매끈하였다.

 잎 앞면은 녹색, 뒷면은 연한 녹색이다. 

줄기는 곧게 자라며 높이 1m에 이르고, 자줏빛을 띤다.
