염주(벼과 염주속) Coix lacryma-jobi L.

생태하천 주변에 염주가 야생으로 무리지어 자라고 있다.

매년 개체수가 많이 늘어나고 있다.

 

염주는 율무에 비하여 화서가 꼿꼿하고 알이 둥글고 표면에 줄이 없이 반들거리며 무척 단단하여 잘 깨지지 않는다.
