갯개미취(국화과 참취속)

갯개미취를 아직 보지 못했다고 하면 다들 믿지 않는다.

아직 못 본 녀석들이 많은데 사람들은 내가 못 본 식물이 없는 줄 아나 보다.

 

서해안 폐염전에서 벌써 갓털 날리기 직전의 갯개미취 무리를 만나고 신이 났다.

용케도 늦게 꽃을 피우고 있는 녀석들까지 있어서 충분하게 관찰할 수가 있었다.

 

이 녀석은 피침형의 잎과 3줄의 총포가 좀개미취와 많이 비슷하지만

갯개미취는 전체적으로 크고 두화가 많으며 갯가에서 자란다는 서식지의 차이로 이름 불러주는데는 그리 어렵지 않다.

 

 

 

총포는 통형이고 길이와 지름이 각 7mm이며 포편은 3줄로 배열되고  

외편은 피침형이며 길이 2.5~3mm로서 끝이 둔하고 연모가 다소 있으며 내편은 긴 타원형이고 끝이 둥글며 자줏빛이 돈다.

 

 

두화는 지름 16-22mm로서 여러송이가 느슨한 산방화서를 이루며 밑부분에 포가 달리고 화경은 길이 1-3cm로서 털이 없다.
