대사초 종류도 몇 종류가 되는데, 잎과 화경에 털이 있는 걸로 봐서 털대사초로 보인다.
위쪽 노란 꽃술이 수꽃, 아랫쪽 빨간 꽃술이 암꽃, 잎 가장자리와 뒷 맥에 털이 보인다.
화경에도 털이 보인다. 대사초와 지리대사초에는 잎과 화경에 털이 없다고 한다.
붉은 암술 머리는 세 갈래이다.
