여로/참여로/파란여로/푸른여로/흰여로

 여로 5종류를 모아 보았다.

여로	가장 기본이 자주색꽃을 피우는 여로다. 수술 꽃밥은 노란색 밑부분에 수꽃, 윗부분에 양성화가 핌, 6개의 수술은 중앙에 있고 꽃잎 길이의 1/2 정도이며 자방은 난형이고 3개로 얕게 갈라지며 암술머리는 3개로서 젖혀진다. 원줄기는 높이 40-60cm로서 화서와 더불어 돌기같은 털이 있으며 곧게 선다.
참여로	여로 중에서 가장 키가 큰 높이 약 1.5m정도로 자란다. 짙은 자주색으로 검정여로라고도 한다. 꽃은 9월에 피며 지름 1cm정도로서 원줄기 끝에 검은 자주색 꽃이 원추화서에 밀생하고 화피 열편은 6개로서  6개의 수술은 화피길이의 1/2정도이다. 자방은 난형이며 암술대는 3개로 갈라져서 젖혀진다.
파란여로	꽃은 6-8월에 피며 지름 1cm정도로서 수꽃과 양성의 꽃이 있음. 줄기 끝에 원추화서, 화서는 털이 있고 길이 30-50cm 밑부분에서 가지가 갈라지고 소화경은 길이 6-10mm이며 가지나 화경에 꼬불꼬불한 털이 밀생한다. 화피 열편은 6개로서 긴 타원형이며 녹색 바탕에 연한 자줏빛이 돌고 포는 가지보다 짧으며 꽃의 포는 길이 2-5mm로서 넓은 피침형이다. 수술은 6개이며 길이 약 2.5mm이다.
푸여로	꽃은 7-8월이 피며 녹색꽃이 핀다. 원줄기의 끝의 원추화서에 달리고 꽃의 포는 피침형이고 수술과 화피열편(花被裂片)이 각각 6개이다.
흰여로	꽃은 원줄기 끝에 성긴 총상 원추화서,  백색이며 꽃의 포는 피침형으로 뒷면과 가장자리에 털이 있다. 화경(花梗)은 소포나 화피의 약 2배 길이로 털이 있다. 화피열편이 각각 6개이고 황백색이며 후에 녹황색으로 되고 암술은 황백색이다.
