좀메꽃(메꽃과 서양메꽃속) Convolvulus chinensis Ker Gawl.

같은 학명으로국가표준식물목록의 국명과 몽골식물도감의 국명이 다르게 올려져 있어서 혼란을 주고 있다.
몽골도감에는 이 녀석이 좀메꽃 Convolvulus arvensis L.로 올려져 있는데 국가표준식물목록에는 서양메꽃 Convolvulus arvensis L. 로 올려져 있다.

헌데 구글에서 검색되는 Convolvulus arvensis 는 잎이 넓은형의 흰꽃 또는 붉은꽃으로 아래 녀석과는 또 다르다.
 
중국식물도감에서는 아래 이미지의  학명이 Convolvulus chinensis 로 확인된다.
Convolvulus chinensis 는 국가표준식물목록에 좀메꽃으로 올려져 있다.
그래서 이 녀석을 좀메꽃(메꽃과 서양메꽃속) Convolvulus chinensis Ker Gawl. 으로 정리한다.
 
서양메꽃은 우리나라에 들어 와 있는데 잎도 더 넓고 흰색 꽃을 피운다.
