산딸나무(층층나무과 층층나무속) Cornus kousa Bürger ex Hance

남도의 섬에서 만난 자생하는 산딸나무다.

꽃차례는 가운데 두상으로 모여 있는 것이고 바깥의 꽃잎처럼 크게 보이는 것은 총포이다

 

이 녀석은 꽃(총포)의 크기가 좀 작고 화피가 녹백색을 띠고 있다.

아직 개화가 이른 시기라서 백색이 약하다.

제주도에서도 꽃잎이  백색의 넓고 큰 총포를 가진 것과 녹백색의 작은 총포를 가진 것이 보이던데.......
