두메김의털(벼과 김의털속)

6월 하순의 설악을 도전한 이유는 고산에서만 볼 수 있는 벼과 식물을 볼 수 있을까 하여서였다.

오전 5시부터 장수대에서 대승령에 올라서 귀떼기청봉으로 돌아서 한계령으로 내려올까 했지만

이것 저것 살피면서 얼마나 느린 속도로 갔던지 도저히 내 발걸음으로는 계산이 안 나온다.

 

해서 되돌아 원점으로 장수대로 하산하기로 하고 미련 없이 돌아섰다.

 

되돌아선 덕분에 시간적으로 여유가 있어서 조망하는 풍광이 좋은 곳에 올랐다가 이 녀석을 만나는 행운까지.

걸은 거리가 11km, 5시 20분에 하산 완료. 12시간이 넘게 걸었다.

 

결국 만났다. 두메김의털.

고산의 볕이 잘 드는 바위 지대에 작은 풀들과 함께 살고 있는 녀석이다.
