섬강개갓냉이(배추과 개갓냉이속) Rorippa apetala Y. Y. Kim & B. U. Oh

몇 년 전 이 녀석을 찾으러 땡볕에 강 주변을 뒤지고 다녔던 적이 있다.

 

올해 봄 그 강 줄기 다른 곳에서 속속이과 구슬갓냉이 새싹을 보고서

아마도 개화기에 이 녀석도 만날 수 있을 거라 기대를 했더랬는데,

 

역시나 많지는 않지만 그 곳에서 이 녀석을 찾았다.

 

논문에서 연구된 점으로

열매의 크기나 전초의 모습, 주변에 함께 살고 있는 속속이풀과 구슬냉이로 봐서

두 녀석의 교잡종으로 추정이 되는 아주 작은 장구 모양의 열매를 달고 있었다.

결실이 안되거나 1~2개의 종자가 결실되는 점으로 봐서도 교잡종으로 추정할 수 있는 근거로 볼 수 있겠다.

섬강개갓냉이 : 한국에서 발견된 개갓냉이속(배추과)의 1신종(김윤영,지성진,오병운) 결실기 때 생기는 근경의 부정아, 일반적으로 무화판이거나 드물게 축소화된 1~4개의 화판, 도제금형의 열매, 종자가 대부분 결실하지 않거나 실당 1~2개가 결실함으로써 근연종인 속속이풀, 구슬갓냉이와 두렷하게 구별되었다.

헌데 이 녀석이 무화판은 아닌 것 같다.

관찰할 수 있는 개체가 많지 않았지만 모두 꽃잎 4장 제대로 붙어 있었다.
