노루발(진달래과 노루발속) Pyrola japonica Klenze ex Alef.

건조한 소나무 숲을 뒤지는데 노루발과 매화노루발이 한창 다투어 꽃을 피우고 있다.

소나무 숲은 초본류들이 거의 살지 못하는데 이 녀석은 매화노루발과 함께 소나무 숲에서도 자랄 수 있는 녀석이다.

 

상록성 초본이라 겨울에도 초록의 잎을 볼 수 있으며 뿌리줄기가 옆으로 뻗으면서 새순이 나온다.

뿌리에서 뭉쳐나는 잎들은 둥글거나 넓은 타원형이며 긴 잎자루를 지닌다.
