섬시호(산형과 시호속) Bupleurum latissimum Nakai

2012. 6. 4. 기청산.

 

울릉도에 자생하는 섬시호를 만나기란 거의 불가능하다고 한다.

지난 여름 울릉도 어느 골짝에서 자생하는 녀석을 찾아보긴 했지만 이미 개화 시기는 훨씬 지났고 열매만 가득 담아 왔었다.

 

꽤 여러 개체가 자생적으로 살고 있음에 흐뭇한 마음으로 자리를 뜨긴 했지만 꽃을 보지 못하여 아쉬웠는데

기청산수목원 특산식물원에서 개화 적기의 섬시호 꽃과 열매를 충분하게 담아 와서 그 아쉬운 마음 위로 받았다.
