쇠채(국화과)2

징채, 북채, 장구채, 말채 처럼 물건을 두드리거나 타격을 가하기 위한 것을 <채> 라한다.

국악기 중에 꽹과리 란 고음의 쇳소리를 내는 악기가 있는데 옛 어른들은 꽹과리를 <쇠>라고도 불렀다.

 

그 <쇠>를 치는 채를 쇠채라 하는데 사물놀이에서 꽹과리는 사물의 리더로 꽹과리 쇠를 치는 사람을 쇠잡이라 한다.

대학 다닐 때 무용 공연 프로그램에 참여를 하였는데 선배 가 1쇠, 내가 2쇠를 연주하며 공연에 참여한 적이 있다.

 

쇠채의 이름이 바로 그 꽹과리채에서 연유한 것이 아닌가 싶다.

이 녀석의 긴 줄기 끝에 꽃이 핀 모습이 마치 그 <쇠>를 치는 <채>의 형상을 닮지 않았나?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

높이 23-100cm이고 줄기는 곧게 서며 속이 비고 세로로 홈줄이 있으며 거미줄털 또는 솜털이 점차 적어지고 

윗부분에서 가지를 내며 전체에 유백색의 유즙이 있다

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

이 녀석은 다년초이다.  잎은 피침형으로 길고 털이 있다.
