속단(꿀풀과)

이 녀석 털보다. 꽃잎 윗 순판이 털모자를 덮어 쓴 듯하다. 키는 1m에 달하고 전체에 잔털이 있다.

 

꽃받침과 꽃잎은 5개로 꽃받침은 관 모양이며, 입술 모양의 꽃잎은 길이가 약 1.8㎝이고 표면에 우단 같은 털이 밀생하는데,

윗입술에 해당하는 2장의 꽃잎은 모자 모양이고 아래꽃잎은 3개로 갈라진다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 뿌리는 가느다란 고구마 모양의 덩이뿌리이고, 잎은 큰 것이 길이 13㎝, 너비 10㎝의 심장형으로 마주나며

잎가장자리에 규칙적인 톱니가 있다. 붉은빛이 도는 꽃은 7월에 큰 원추꽃차례에 4~5개씩 마주보며 핀다.
