큰두루미꽃에 비하여 암술머리가 2갈래이고 줄기에 털이 없거나 돌기 모양의 털이 있다.
잎은 2~3장 삼각상 심장형이며 뒷면 맥 위에 원추형의 털이 있으며 가장자리에 삼각형의 돌기가 있다.
