용머리가 살고 있는 옆 돌개밭에 개차즈기가 세들어 살고 있었다.
정작 밭 주인인 도라지 보다 셋집 식구가 더 기세 등등하다.
개차즈기가 무리 지어 꽃이 핀 걸 멀리서 보면 청녹색의 분위기가 있어서
농로 안쪽에 있는 개차즈기를 청녹색으로 짐작하고 이 녀석을 찾은 적이 있다.
8월 말이나 되어서야 꽃이 피는데 성질이 엄청 급한 녀석이 있는 모양이다. 꽃을 한 송이 피웠다.
잎은 대생하고 거의 밑부분까지 3-5개로 갈라지며 열편은 예두에 예저로된 피침형이고
길이 1-6cm, 폭 2-20mm이며 앞뒷면에 털이 없고 가장자리는 톱니가 있으며 엽병은 길이 1-2cm로 좁은 날개가 있다.
꽃은 8-9월에 피고 하늘색이며 줄기나 가지 끝에서 집산화서로 피어 원추화서상으로 배열된다.
꽃받침은 길이 2.5-3mm로서 윗부분이 5개로 갈라지며 열편은 긴 삼각형이고 끝이 뾰족하며 털이 있다.
화관은 길이 4mm정도이며, 화관통은 꽃받침통과 길이가 거의 같고 끝은 상하순으로 갈리며
겉에 털과 선점이 있고 상순은 곧게서며 2개로 갈라지고 하순은 아래로 벌어지며 3개로 갈라지는데 가운데조각이 가장 크다.
2개의 수술과 1개의 화주가 화관 밖으로 길게 나온다.
높이 30-80cm이고 흑자색이 돌며 마디에만 잔털이 있을 뿐 털이 거의 없다.
줄기는 곧게서며 밑으로 부터 가지를 많이 친다
