잎이 사철 새파래서 사철나무일텐데 이 녀석은 한방 추위에 잎이 노랗게 질려 있다.
제주에서 본 열매만큼 알이 굵지는 않지만 빨간 종자가 산호처럼 붉게 빛나고 있다.
