대마도식물-동청목(감탕나무과 감탕나무속) 꽃과 열매 Ilex pedunculosa Miq.

꾸역꾸역 천천히 뒤따라서 결국 정상에 올랐다. 덕분에 동청목을 제대로 대면할 수 있었다.
올라오면서 바닥에 낮게 퍼져있는 낯이 선 나무를 몇 컷 담았는데 바로 그 녀석이 동청목이었던 것이다.
국내에서는 조경수나 큰 수목원에서 식재해 놓은 것을 볼 수 있는데 대마도에서는 이 녀석이 자생하고 있었던 것이다.
수목원에 식재한 녀석들은 산지 바위 틈에 자라는 모습과 달리 원기둥이 곧게 자라는 아교목의 모습이다
잎은 광택이 나는 타원형이었고 뒤늦게 핀 넉장의 꽃잎을 가진 황록색 꽃도 보여준다.
긴 열매 자루 끝에 작은 원형의 열매는 붉게 익는데 아직 색이 나지 않았다.
