유자나무(운향과 귤나무속) Citrus junos Siebold ex Tanaka

"거 누구요?"
사진을 찍느라 집중하고 있는데 갑자기 나타난 할머니의 호통에 깜짝 놀랐다.
노파도 자기네 밭에 낯선 사람이 들어와 있어서 놀란 모양이다.
카메라를 들어 보이며 사진을 찍는다고 했더니, 썩 미덥지 않은 표정이다.
멀리 육지에서 와서 남쪽에 있는 것들이 신기해서 사진을 찍는다고 했더니 어디서 왔냐고 묻는다.
대답은 들은 노파는 그제사 얼굴을 펴고 유자나무 아래로 다가 선다. 노파의 손에 과일 따는 긴 장대가 들려 있다.
유자는 귤처럼 과일로 먹지 못하는데 왜 키우냐니까 차를 만들어 먹는단다.
그렇지 마트에 가면 유리병에 든 유자차를 사가지고 겨울 낸 따뜻한 차를 마시기도 했었지.
잘 따시라 인사하고 돌아서려는데 유자 좀 가져가라신다. 감사하다고 하면서 그냥 출발하였다.
