2019년 밤중에 만났던 생소하고 신기했던 녀석의 꽃을 한 번은 더 보고 싶었다.
올해도 섬으로 들어갈까 몇 번이나 벼르다가 결국 늦어 버렸는데
제주도에 내려와서 녀석의 소재를 수소문하게 되었다.
작년에도 이 녀석 위치를 찾다가 허탕을 친 적이 있기에 이번에는 꽃동무의 도움으로 위치 정보를 얻었다.
종일 습지를 돌아다니다가 땀 범벅이 되어 숙소로 들어와서 목욕을 하고 짐 정리를 하니 8시가 넘었다.
딱 출발하기 적당한 시간이다. 한 시간을 달리면 9시30분 정도이니 꽃이 아직 피어 준다면 제대로 만날 수 있을 거라.
얼마를 달렸을까. 큰길을 버리자 인적드문 시골길이 좀 으스스하다.
목적지에 차를 세우고 정확한 위치를 찾아야 하는데 밤중이라 쉽지가 않다.
폰의 후레쉬를 켜고 한참 헤메다가 하늘타리 꽃 한 송이 발견.
에라이~ 니가 왜 거기서 나와!
또 다시 되짚어서 살피는데 옳다꾸나 드뎌 녀석이 꽃을 피우고 있는 것을 찾았다.
여적도 피고 지고 하고 있었던 것이다.
암꽃은 안 보이고 긴 화관의 수꽃만 가득하다. 열매도 달린 게 안 보인다.
실처럼 찢어진 갈기를 쫘악 펴고 있는 모습이 멋지다.
새벽이 되면 저 갈기는 돌돌 말려 버리니 12시를 넘기기 전에 녀석의 모습을 담아야 한다.
