내몽골식물 -방풍(미나리과 방풍속) Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischkin

몽골, 러시아 시베리아, 아무르, 우수리, 중국 동북부 등에 분포한다.
몽골과 내몽골에서는 흔히 만나며 백두산 탐사 때 중국 연변지역 초지에서도 만난 적이 있다,
우리나라 중부 이북에도 분포한다고는 하는데 현재까지 국내 자생이 전혀 확인되지 않고 있다.
뿌리는 굵으며 줄기는 곧추 자라고 높이 30~80cm, 밑부분에서 가지가 많이 갈라진다.
남해안에 재배하는 방풍나물이라는 것은 갯기름나물을 그렇게 지방에서 부르는 것이지 이 방풍과는 아무런 관계도 없다.
