나도은조롱(협죽도과 나도은조롱속) 열매 Marsdenia tomentosa C.Morren & Decne.

한 번은 더 보고싶었다.

몇 시간 배를 타야 하고 길도 없는 너덜지대와 잡목을 헤치고 오르기에는 쉽지 않은 길이다.

 

목포여객터미널에 도착하니 건물 옆의 펄럭이는 깃발이 심상치 않다 했더니

연안 바다를 벗어나자 뱃머리가 트위스트를 추면서 롤링이 세게 오는데 여기 저기서 요란한 소리가 들린다.

 

나는 다행스럽게도 제법 센 멀미약을 미리 먹은 덕분에 그저 평온하게 목적지 섬에 안착했다.

곧 바로 이동하여 목적하는 산길로 들어서는데 이태 전에 한 번 왔던 기억은 산 입구에서 끝이 나버렸다.

 

이리 저리 왼쪽으로 오른쪽으로 우왕좌왕 하다가 너덜지대를 만났는데

큰 바위 사이 낙엽을 잘못 밟으면 쑥 빠져 버려서 위험 하기에

나무지팡이로 쿡쿡 찌르면서 한발 한 발 조심 또 조심.

 

그래도 머리 위에 잎 넓은 은조롱 덩굴이 보이길래 열매가 있을 듯해서 살폈더니

눈 앞 가까운 곳에 할부지 허리춤의 안경통 처럼 큰 열매 두개가 덜렁거리고 달려 있다.
