백두산식물-흰잎엉겅퀴(국화과 엉겅퀴속) Cirsium vlassovianum Fisch. ex DC.

엉겅퀴속 중에서 여적까지 만나보지 못하던 녀석이다.

별로 염두에 두지 않고 찾아 보지 않아서 그랬던 거 같다.

 

생각지도 않게 대면하였는데 어찌나 기쁘던지... 

이 녀석도 백두산탐사 주요 수확물 중 하나이다.

 

줄기 하반부 잎이 피침형, 타원상 피침형으로 폭이 좁고 뒷면에 백색 거미줄 털이 밀생

잎 가장자리에 침상의 톱니가 촘촘하게 나 있다.

줄기는 높이 30~100㎝이고 줄기는 곧게서며 녹색 또는 암자색을 띠고 골이 있은 능선이 있으며 겨같은 털이 다소 있고 가지가 갈라진다. 근생엽은 꽃이 필 때 없어지고 밑부분의 잎은 엽병이 있으나 중앙부의 잎은 엽병이 없이 어긋나기하며 긴 타원상 피침형, 피침형 또는 달걀 모양이고 끝이 뾰족하며 밑부분이 좁아져서 원줄기를 둘러싸기도 하고 길이 10~20㎝로서 표면은 녹색이고 겨같은 털이 있으며 뒷면은 백색이고 거미줄같은 털로 덮여 있으며 가장자리가 밋밋하거나 침상의 톱니가 있다. 꽃은 8월에 피고 자주색이며 머리모양꽃차례는 밑에 포가 다소 있고 지름3~3.5㎝로서 줄기 끝과 그 부근의 잎겨드랑이에 곧추달려 핀다. 총포는 종상 구형이며 길이 15~20㎜, 지름 2~3㎝로서 흔히 거미줄같은 털이 밀생하고 겉에 점질이 있으며 포편은 6줄로 배열되고 외편은 선형이며 중편보다 짧고 가시가 없다.
